Row 100 done!

Ok I have completed row 100! I now only have 134 to go plus the border! Once I get to row 117 then I flip the pattern and do the whole thing in reverse! Yippee!!! It's getting there, I am hoping to get to the half way point by tomorrow. I don't know though because 140 count single crochet rows takes a lot of time and since I'm changing colors all of the time well that takes up time too! Oh well I do believe I am on schedule for what I set for myself and there is really no hurry except that I just want to be done with it! Plus I am doing squares in between for Brandon's blanket! Crazy!
Here are the pictures of 100 rows completed:

Now you can see the yarn carried through but I just don't know how else to do it so it looks neat and clean. My daughter says it looks great so I guess that's what I'll go with! :)

That's it for today!

It's coming along!

Well I am still making progress on this crazy afghan I have decided to make! I'm concerned that once I get the first half done I will not have the will power to finish the other half! It is a serious amount of tangles and written instructions! Well I am doing the written instructions as I have found it easier to write out what I am doing row by row! I think that I did make good progress this weekend though! My Daughter loves it and has sworn to me that she will make sure that the recipient of this afghan will do the proper amount of loving it! :) She has my back on this because only she knows the craziness of what I am going through! Here are the pictures from the weekend work:

Just 2 different angles.
I did get another square done for Brandon's blanket as well. I have a list of things that people want so I will stay busy through out the cooler months!

That's it for today!

Today's Picture Post

Ok hopefully this will work! I took more pictures of the afghan to show yesterdays progress and hopefully blogger will work with me today to get them all uploaded! Let's try!
Yesterdays pictures that wouldn't post:

And here are today pictures:

Let me say the straight line color changes WAY easier then the zig-zags! they even look much better! I have solid rows now for about 10 rows and then big diamonds! Can't wait to see how much fun those will be!!!

Update again

Well I have passed the zigs and zags of this crazy afghan that I am working on! Please don't judge too harshly, I know it's not so perfect but it's the best that I can figure out! Here's the pictures so far:

Well they would be here except Blogger is having an issue this minute!

Anyhoo, I think I have it figured out for the pattern because the graph is only 1/4 of the finished pattern! I copied the graph and blew it up and cut and taped it all together! Hopefully that will work out because the way the pattern was going it was looking all weird! I will try again with the pictures tomorrow and will have more progress on it anyway because I'm working on it constantly lately. I really need to get this done. No reason I just feel the need! Crazy!

Today's afghan update!

Ok I was going to call this the afghan from hell but I'm not sure if that fits! It is a challenge, but from hell? I ripped out the rows that I had done yesterday because they were so not right and went in search of the right way and found this site saved in my favorites! Thank goodness for favorites! So I ripped it and redid and low and behold, it worked! I have moved it along nicely! There are a lot of changing and yarn hanging all over the place but hopefully it will be well received! That's my boring update for today, I will have pictures tomorrow!

Ok I'm whipping them out!

I have decided that just working on one project is not quite enough so I've taken on 3 since last week! I am working on Brandon's squares:
Here's one of 18 for the blue and I have the 2 white ones done already. I need to get some more Simply Soft Black yarn to get it finished!

This is a purse that I made for my Cousin who has been bugging me (love you sara!) for her very own little felted bag! This yarn I LOVE, it's one that I dyed myself with Kool-aid, but instead of the bath method I hand "painted" it and I think it came out so pretty that I really wanted to keep it for myself, but I will pass it along to Sara! I just have to felt it.
Felting will commence this week sometime and maybe she will get to use it!

And now to the craziest project I do believe I have taken on:
I have never done any kind of graph crocheting before and I think there is a possibility that this could send me over the edge! I don;t know if I can even accomplish this feat! I have already ripped out rows (where the color changes start) and think I have to yet again! I don't know how this will turn out but it is a gift so I can't make it sloppy and being a perfectionist will be a problem on this blanket! Here's what I have so far:

Now those do not look like pretty color changes! GRRRR!!! Ok onward, must not let it win! This is the ultimate in true love!

Yet Again MIA

I wish I could say I've been whipping out a crazy amount of projects, but the truth is I have been working only on Brandon's blanket and even that not as much as I should! I live in the San Fernando Valley and am in a constant state of HOT!!! I don't even pick up any yarn until the sun goes down! It's just too dang hot! I do have a few squares completed (6 out of 20) so I am making some progress, but I really wanted to be done by the 14th because I am going up to visit him and wanted to bring it to him. I haven't taken any pictures of it yet so I can do that and at least keep updated my progress on the blanket if nothing else. My cousin wants a felted purse so I will be whipping one of those out for her as well! If guess if I put my mind to it I could be busy!
School is back in session, so we will be settling into that routine pretty soon as well!
That's all I've got for now!
